Alabama has been devastated by yet another tornado, with vehicles and homes damaged across the state. It is a timely reminder that, along with taking out Alabama liability insurance for when you are on the road, you also need to protect your car when it isn’t being driven.

News reports are depicting the trail of devastation that the latest tornado has left in its wake. Across America, homes, businesses and cars have suffered extensive damage.

The Alabama town of Harvey was severely hit in April 2011, with many locals losing their homes. It has taken them until now to re-build and recover, so the recent tornado has certainly been an unwelcomed visitor.

The tornado hit the town with winds of up to 125 mph. According to the National Weather Service, six tornados sped through Northern Alabama, injuring residents and causing damage to hundreds of homes.

In April 2011, more than 240 were killed in Alabama when tornados ripped through the state. Authorities are no doubt on high alert this season, and now have the task of cleaning up the damage.
